About Me

Quilt In Progress

I am a former elementary teacher who loves to sew in my spare time. I make many baby quilts, and have recently been making some wall quilts as well. All fabric window coverings in my home are home-sewn, and I love new challenges. I take on new projects for the reason of learning new techniques and being able to proudly say that I made it myself. Some of my projects include ways to repurpose cast-off clothing, sewing for American Girl-type dolls, and anything else that catches my attention.

My husband’s children and my child are grown now, and I have 9 grandchildren to sew for. I’ve recently obtained a flea market booth where I sell my handmade goods. I am now widowed and living on a small acreage farm in the country. Life is good, especially when I have all the sewing time I would wish for. What’s next? Nobody knows, yet, but many will find out when I do!

Let’s build something together.
