I managed to sew for a couple of hours today and got the quilt top completed. I’m very thrilled with the result. I see fabric from quilts I’ve made for babies named Coy, Hayden, Tommy, Michael, Makenna, and a couple of fabrics left over from lap quilts I made for my mom and dad. I’m sure there are more in there that I’ve forgotten about. That’s the joy of using from stash and scraps, I can remember the other times I’ve used those fabrics and imagine the moms snuggling the babies in the quilts.
I think I would like to make another quilt of this pattern, but I would group the like colors together and make color blotches like the one I patterned it after.
I plan to pin and machine quilt it between Christmas and New Year’s.
